You’re a service design pro. You run circles around problem definition, field research, journey mapping, ideation, and prototyping. You’ve got a clear vision and you believe in it deeply. One eensy-weensy problem: that’s not good enough.

To make your vision real, you need to be a political jedi, a storytelling savant, and a trusted leader. Like it or not, **how** you communicate in presentations and high-stakes meetings is at least as important as **what** you say.

In this half-day workshop, we’ll coach you on ways to signal confidence, inspire others, and gain sponsorship. You’ll better understand your communication style, identify specific ways to improve, and learn how to tailor it to diverse contexts. You’ll have fun (we promise!), and get lots of practice, feedback, and take-home exercises.

Walking out, you’ll feel empowered to rally the team around a bold new service experience. Our goal is that back at work you’ll hear, “What happened to <<YOUR NAME>>? I want some of that.”

What topics will be covered?

How to use four foundational communication qualities to signal confidence, inspire others, and gain sponsorship. Practice flexing those qualities in high-stakes contexts. Understand your communication style, specific ways to improve it, and learn how to tailor it to diverse contexts.

What exercises will be done?

Improvisation games, practice delivering a 2-3 minute presentation and incorporating feedback on communication/delivery.

What will the audience take away from this workshop?

Understand how well your current communication approach signals confidence and credibility, specific steps to take to strengthen your approach moving forward, and feel more empowered to rally your team around a bold new service experience.

Any requirements for attending?

Come prepared to deliver a 2-3 minute presentation of your choice (visuals/deck not required). Or, come prepared to deliver a presentation improvisationally.
